STATUSHQ CONTRACTOR
Terms of use
These terms set out how you may use StatusHQ Contractor to organise compliance evidence, prepare RAMS, create Client Packs and record completed work.
1. About StatusHQ Contractor
StatusHQ Contractor is a StatusHQ product for contractors and their teams. It provides tools to store compliance documents, track document dates, prepare risk assessment and method statement records (RAMS), share selected documents through Client Packs, and create Job Proof reports.
The service helps you organise information. It does not replace competent health-and-safety advice, legal advice, professional judgement, site-specific checks, insurance requirements, permits, inductions or any duty imposed on you by law, contract or a client.
2. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. If you create an account for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping passwords, recovery details and any two-factor authentication method secure. Tell us promptly through the support options in the app if you suspect unauthorised access.
Do not allow anyone else to use your account unless they are an authorised member of your business. You must not attempt to access another customer’s account, content or systems.
3. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of the documents, information, photographs, branding, RAMS, Client Pack content and Job Proof records you submit to the service (your Content). You give StatusHQ a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process and transmit that Content only as needed to operate, secure, support and improve the service for you.
You are responsible for ensuring that your Content is accurate, current, lawful and appropriate for its intended purpose. In particular, before issuing or using a RAMS, you must ensure it has been reviewed by a competent person and reflects the actual task, location, workforce, equipment, hazards, controls and emergency arrangements.
You must have all necessary rights, permissions and lawful grounds to upload personal data, company logos, documents, photographs and signatures. Do not upload content that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, infringing or contains malicious code.
5. Plans, billing and renewal
Free plan
The Free plan includes a company profile, limited document storage and basic expiry tracking. We may reasonably change Free plan limits or features, including to protect the security, performance or sustainability of the service.
Premium plan
Premium includes unlimited documents, expiry reminders, RAMS Builder, Client Packs, Job Proof reports and secure sharing. It is available at £9.99 per month or £99.99 per year, plus any applicable taxes. The annual option gives a saving equivalent to two monthly payments compared with paying monthly.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. When you start a paid subscription, you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method at the stated interval until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next renewal date. If a payment fails, we may restrict Premium features until payment is received.
We will show the relevant price before checkout. If we change a subscription price, the new price will apply only after reasonable prior notice and from the next renewal period, unless you agree otherwise.
6. Availability, updates and support
We work to keep StatusHQ Contractor available and secure, but the service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, connectivity issues, third-party failures or events outside our control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free use.
We may update, improve, replace or remove features where reasonably necessary. Where a material change affects a paid feature, we will aim to give appropriate notice unless an urgent security, legal or operational reason prevents this.
Support is available through the options provided in the app. We may ask for information necessary to investigate an issue, but please do not send passwords, payment-card data or unnecessary sensitive personal data in support requests.
7. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using the service at any time. You remain responsible for any charges that have already fallen due. You should export or download Content you wish to keep before closing your account.
We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, prevent harm, address non-payment, or where you materially breach these terms. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.
8. Legal terms and contact
StatusHQ owns or licenses the software, design and other intellectual-property rights in the service. These terms do not give you any right to use our names, logos or branding other than as the service allows.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that, StatusHQ Contractor is provided for business use and StatusHQ will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions, site access, work outcomes, compliance failures or losses arising from Content that you create, upload, approve or share.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
If you have a question about these terms, contact support@statushq.co.uk. We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, with its effective date.
For the way we handle personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.
